Data Deletion Policy & Instructions
At SkillStack, we respect your right to be forgotten. You can request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time.
How to Delete Your Data
We provide two primary ways to manage your data deletion:
Option 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
- Open SkillStack.
- Navigate to Settings (the gear icon).
- Tap on Account.
- Select Delete Account.
- Confirm your choice. Your account will be deactivated immediately and queued for permanent deletion.
Option 2: Online Request (Web Portal)
If you have already uninstalled the app, you do not need to reinstall it to delete your data. Please email SkillStack.app@icloud.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" from the email address associated with your account.
What Data is Deleted?
When you request account deletion, we purge the following from our active servers:
- Personal Identifiers: Name, email, and profile details.
- Activity History: Your logs, preferences, and usage metrics.
- AI Interaction History: All past prompts and generated outputs associated with your ID.
Data Retention Exceptions
Under certain regulations (like the GDPR and CCPA), we may retain specific information if:
- Legal Obligations: We are required to keep financial records (e.g., subscription receipts) for tax purposes.
- Security: We retain hashed versions of banned IDs to prevent platform abuse.
- Aggregated Data: We may keep anonymized, de-identified data that can no longer be linked to you to improve app performance.
Processing Time
Once a request is initiated, the deletion process typically completes within 30 days. You will receive a final confirmation email once the process is finalized.
